Taylor Swift just released a new single called ME! It’s and upbeat, fun song that will have you singing along (even if you swore you wouldn’t).
What’s it about?
Well, obviously, its about ME! No doubt Taylor will have some more beef to vent about in Reputation 2, because singing a song that starts with the lyrics “I promise you’ll never find another like me” would get anyone accused of being selfish or stuck up. But while “haters gonna hate hate hate” T swift loves to troll them. The song actually sounds like an anthem to individuality and self-respect, with a little bit of classic Taylor in love again.
Is it any good?
The music video beat a 24 hour streaming record, and is still racking up views, likely setting more records. So yes? Actually, yes it is. It has the same rhythmic hum that was featured throughout most of her Reputation album, the sound that was satisfying and different but never really got old, laced in throughout the song. There is however a lot more excitement and positivity and it almost hurts to not sing along.
What now?
Its been about a year and a half since the release of her last album Reputation, and her Reputation tour recently wrapped up. She’s not doing many concerts in 2019, and she released an album every 2 years until Reputation which took 3, which was understandable. So, come October or November, there will most likely be a new T-Swift pop album! And hopefully a few more singles between now and then.
