We all know about antibiotics and hormones being put into are food sources. It has been said that this has been done because it will help make more food for the people on this planet. How do you like the idea of federal regulations allowing there to be more antibiotics sprayed onto your food specifically fruit sources?

In Summery this New York Times brought to peoples attention the fact that grapefruit and orange trees are suffering. they're not multiplying at a fast enough rates and this is causing trouble for the farmers because there is less being produced then there is consumer demand. In the article it was stated like this "They used to have pneumonia, but now it’s like they have a cold,”Mr. Petteway. Tough farmers want to use these chemicals it is causing harsh health problems to its human consumers.

Since recently they have increased what an acceptable amount of chemicals that is okay to use and this is not safe for the plantations workers, environment, or the consumers of the fruit. These antibiotics can cause drug residents in human bodies. It has been stated that 23,000 Americans die from these drug resistant infections and over 2 million turn ill.

In Review the article did a great job catching the readers attention with the title. The FDA and the CDC are seeing health problems with the amount and the type of antibiotics being put sprayed onto the fruits and soil this is happening in the Florida and Texas areas and they are having trouble growing enough fruits for consumer demands. But how they are doing this is effecting the health of everyone around the fruit and causing more than one major problem. The use of quotations makes this article is reliable and real it is helps the credibility that the article takes on both the framers and the consumers side of the problems and helps keep it unbiased.
