In this article found in the New York Times Newspaper Doctors and patients are debating if stem cell treatments of platelet rich plasma (PRP) really work and help with the relief of your pain. The Article Starts off with a title that catches the readers attention it states "Stem Cell Treatments Flourish With Little Evidence That They Work". Now what does that mean?

This means that currently the doctors at Regenexx in Des Moines IA are trying to help people relief pain in Knee's, elbow, and other joints by extracting the patents plasma spinning it in a cylinder and injecting the their own plasma back into the effected area. There is some controversy if this procedure works or not.

In this Article the reporter is using an active voice. In the Article it is stated that There is not a lot of research just personal Experience quotes such as "it could of gotten worse but it got better" - Jenny.

Overall, there are mixed views on if PRP works or does not work and there is yet to have enough research to know for sure.
